Every vehicle we run is chosen for the roads of Milos: comfortable and quiet on the main routes, and capable on the unsurfaced tracks that lead down to the best beaches. All are air-conditioned, non-smoking, insured for passenger transport, and cleaned between every job.

The Mercedes Vito and Ford Tourneo seat eight passengers plus the driver, carrying a family or a group of friends together with their luggage, which is usually cheaper and always simpler than splitting across two cars.

Choosing the right size

Most people book a bigger vehicle than they need, and a few book one that is too small and are uncomfortable for the whole journey. The deciding factor is usually luggage rather than passengers.

As a rule of thumb: two people with two large cases fit comfortably in a sedan. Four adults with four large cases do not, and want a minivan. Families with a pushchair should mention it, because a folded pushchair takes roughly the space of a suitcase. If you are arriving for a long stay or travelling with beach gear, say so and we will size up at no extra cost.

Roads, and why the vehicle matters here

Milos is not a difficult island to drive, but several of the best beaches sit at the end of unsurfaced tracks, and the approach to Plaka narrows to lanes laid out long before cars. Our drivers know which tracks are currently passable, which ones change after winter rain, and where a vehicle can actually turn around. That local knowledge is a real part of what you are booking.

Accessibility

Our minivans have sliding doors and a high roof, which makes getting in and out considerably easier for passengers with limited mobility, and we are glad to help with folding wheelchairs and walking frames. We do not currently operate a wheelchair-accessible vehicle with a ramp, so if you need to travel seated in a wheelchair please contact us before booking and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

Booking more than one vehicle

For groups above eight we send multiple vehicles travelling together, so everyone arrives at the same time. Weddings and corporate visits are straightforward for us. Tell us the headcount and the schedule and we will work out the most economical combination rather than simply sending the largest option.
