Highlights

  • Sarakiniko — white lunar rocks, sea caves and blue water
  • Plaka — the island’s most authentic village, golden light and Cycladic elegance
  • Klima — colourful boat houses at sea level and a perfect reflection
  • Fyropotamos — crystal-clear water and a bright white landscape
  • The island’s spiritual and archaeological heritage along the way

Where we go

We begin at the enchanting Sarakiniko, a landscape that feels as if it came from another world. The white rock and the quiet create a scene you will not forget. There is time to walk, photograph, and take in the energy of a one-of-a-kind place.

We continue to Mandrakia, a small, authentic fishing village where life moves slowly. The syrmata at the water’s edge, the colours and the smell of the Aegean bring to mind a simpler, more human era.

Next is the bay of Fyropotamos, with its clear water and bright white landscape. It is one of those places that makes you smile for no reason — somewhere to relax, photograph the little chapel, or just enjoy the atmosphere.

The tour continues to Plaka, the heart and capital of Milos. Wandering the narrow alleys and whitewashed houses you feel the real pulse of the island, and if we climb to the Castle the view is breathtaking, especially in the late afternoon light.

We then visit the Ancient Theatre of Milos, one of the loveliest places on the island, where history meets the bright Aegean sun. Standing there it is easy to imagine life here centuries ago.

We finish in the colourful village of Klima, perhaps the most painterly spot on Milos. The vividly painted syrmata, almost touching the water, make a genuinely magical scene, and a perfect place to end the day.

This is more than sightseeing. It is a chance to share stories, connect, and discover Milos the way it deserves to be experienced — with warmth, comfort and genuine personal care.

We had an amazing experience on our tour in Milos! Our guide Denis was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great day. He customised the tour to fit exactly what we wanted to see and do, which made the experience feel very personal. His van was spotless, comfortable and well maintained. He was also extremely helpful with practical matters — he even stopped at a convenience store for us and helped us find a solution for our luggage storage, which took a lot of stress off our shoulders. He took a ton of photos for us so we could enjoy our stops. His kindness, flexibility and attention to detail truly set him apart.

We booked this tour just the day before, but we lucked out because Denis was amazing. He connected with me right after I booked and organised pickup at our hotel. He was prompt, professional, knowledgeable, helpful and quite charming. He kept a watchful eye out and offered his assistance to make sure we didn’t trip as we clambered over rocks or climbed steps — we’re youthful seniors, but seniors nonetheless. He seemed to know just how much information we needed and tailored his explanations to our interests, unlike some guides who deliver a canned presentation at each site. He also adjusted the pace when we wanted a break. He made two additional stops at our request, which saved us time and taxi fare later.

How long is the tour and can we change it?
Four hours as standard, and yes — the route is yours. Tell us what you most want to see and we will build the day around it.
How many people does the price cover?
From €340 for a private group of up to four. For larger parties we send a minivan seating eight plus the driver; message us for a price.
Do you pick us up from our hotel?
Yes, pickup and drop-off are included from wherever you are staying, and we can drop you somewhere different at the end.
Is there much walking?
Some, and it is optional. The ground at Sarakiniko is uneven rock and the Castle at Plaka involves steps, but we set the pace and you can skip any stop.
Are entrance fees included?
Everything listed is included. The Catacombs charge €10 per person on site, which is not part of the tour price.
Can you take photos of us?
Gladly. Guests tell us this is one of the things they value most — you get the pictures without anyone having to stay behind the camera.
